I grew up on Martha’s Vineyard, building forts in the woods, riding bikes to the pond, and riding horses at the barn a short walk from my house. It was nothing short of idyllic.  

I think love is the most important thing in the world, whether it’s romantic, friendship, motherly, family, or an animal. I believe it’s what we’re all here on earth for. I’m a hopeless romantic and probably the most nostalgic person you will ever meet. The passing of time has always been hard for me, when I was little I used to cry on every birthday because I didn’t want to be a year older. I knew I couldn’t stop it. I’ve learned to embrace it although I’ll admit it’s hard for me at times with an elderly dog and a daughter. It seems to be going faster than ever. I take a lot of photos.  

It feels as though I’ve lived several different lives and I can see every memory in photos. I want to save these memories in photos forever. 

I’m still amazed by cameras and photoraphy and that we can save these moments to look back on when we’re old and gray and to share with future generations. 

I left my simple island life in the Caribbean to be professionally trained on medium format film cameras at a state of the art photography school in the Berkshires of Massachusetts and earlier than that by my late papa on his 35mm camera he brought to Vietnam. I wasn’t always the quickest to learn but I worked harder than anyone to learn and practice my craft. I persevered and eventually moved back to the Caribbean island of St.John in the US Virgin Islands to start my business and pursue the only career I ever dreamt of.  

I couldn’t be happier with my choice. I love photography and especially portraits because no two shoots are the same, I crave change and I love meeting new people and this satisfies those needs perfectly.  

The photos of my life are my most prized possessions after my daughter and our dog Lucca, and I would be honored to make photos of your family to add to your family heirlooms.
